see governor romney in a speech taking a set of positions about the middle east that, to say the least, box him in in a way presidents do not usually want to be boxed in. it was a rather tight commitment that mitt romney made with that donor in the front row. i am troubled by that, and i have an argument with a friend of mine. he has other priorities as well. i do not think it matters. you want to create a structure where elected officials are not wholly dependent on a given donor or not largely dependent. you want them to be in a situation where if they are in office and they really want x, y, z, you want the elected officials to go as senator mccain seriously did "get out of my office." >> so, there i would make the republican plea for judicial modesty and say, look, the discussion we have had indicates there is not a simple open and shut cancer. -- up and -- open and shut answer. they spent all this time on it and came up with what they thought was an law that would prevent corruption. and then you have five justices saying no, we have a better way to do this. it seems to me w

think romney has to continue to hammer at these points. he gave a foreign policy speech, this monday, i am afraid it's a little bit late. when we were seized in the libya story and the american embassies were under attack from tunisia to indonesia, that was the time that he should have given it. now, he will be giving it. i think it's a great negatism but tell take the focus off the economy, which is where romney was scoring so heavily. he has to come back to the economy. stay on these points. he has to be a little bit wary because obama's going to come into the second debate, with low expectations and the second thing about this is, the second debate is going to be in a town hall that. places to obama's strengths. the relation with the audience. he has a way of connecting -- he did in the past. romney has trouble with that. if you remember the clinton/bush i debate, clinton won outright. so romney has to prepare for low expectations for obam awhich will help obama. he has to practice in a forum, in which he can relax with the audience. however, he has one great advantage, romney, he

infamous 47% remarks he now says he was wrong. sean hannity asked romney. what would he have said if president obama had raised the 47% remarks in the debate the other night? here is romney's answer. >> clearly in a campaign with hundreds if not thousands of speeches and question and answer sessions now and then you're going to say something that doesn't come out right. in this case i said something that is just completely wrong. and i absolutely believe, however, that my life has shown that i care about 100%. >> president obama didn't bring up the 47% remarks in the debate and caught a lot of flack for it. i question it here on this network to one of his advisers. but he probably wanted to avoid giving romney the chance to address it in front of 67 million people, that kind of platform. the romney camp wasn't satisfied. they were probably expecting it to give their candidate an opportunity. okay. so they're not happy with the good debate performance and wanted a bite at the 47% apple to straighten things out. they sent romney over to fox news so romney can finally say he was wrong o
